Waterfalls, Luang Prabang

Cooling Off, Luang Prabang

Enjoying some cooling time

Visiting warm countries always invokes waterfalls of some sort. Kwansi falls in Luang Prabang, is one to be put on the list to visit. It has a bear rescue zoo which is quite cool to view.

We took a packaged tour that included the elephant camp on this trip. You can do this yourself by renting a moto scooter or take the tuk tuks (not recommended, as they try and fill up the tuk tuks before leaving town).

We would have liked to stay a little bit longer at the falls, but being with a tour, time is limited and the road to this place is quite terrible, specially when it gets dark.

I find Luang Prabang is catered to the packaged tour type of travelers, more on the high end and not really set-up for the back packers.
