Day on the bike

Was enjoying company till they left, so I was free to rent a bike in Pula. The moto part was going to be a big part of this tour, but going with the flow is more important than rigid schedules.

Anytime I can get on a bike, my mind goes into a special place of calm and freedom. Cruising around in the Istra was fantastic, wish time allowed for more discovery.

Rental

At first the rental outfit wanted to rent me a moped, at least it felt like it, way under power for what I was going to do. Ended up with this Yami. I got picked up from my Hostel and dropped off service, a real deal.

Have a story to tell about this morning from Forzana, it was dealing with an undercover policija, but it has to told in person.

Rovinj

A fishing port on the west coast, is quite picturesque. The next time for a visit here is probably to going on an island hopping tour of the archipelago immediately off the mainland.

Maze

lined with cobblestone streets, shops, houses, restaurants and cafes. Quite beautiful.

Porec

Very similar to Rovinj, this port city is a popular summer resort. Did not get to stay too long, would of liked to take a dip at the beach, but it was so busy, I did not want to leave my stuff unattended, since I did not have a travel partner. Not that I did not feel safe, and i already took a dip at another quiet beach earlier.

Quite nice roads, and it is really made for small vehicles. The weather was hot and the leather jacket was definitely an overkill, since I packed it, I might as well use it.
