Giving Alms, Luang Prabang

Temple, Luang Prabang

Luang Prabang at a glance

I can call this place a monk haven, as there are so many temples and monks here, it’s like a big cult. There are night markets and tours just like any other asian cities, but this one, you can get to see the monks receiving Alms early in the morning if you wake up early enough. Terry got to experience giving Alms to several of the monks.

We went to the town without reservations to any accommodations since we were only going to stay one night, and when we did pick one from the internet, we got solicited off the street and driven to a fine place at a doctors b&b. Thida Guesthouse was so comfortable, that we ended staying extra days. Lots to do in Luang Prabang, but we have other places to visit, so unfortunately we only stayed three nights.
