Abandon buildings - Detroit

Detroit at a glance

A little tour around the downtown core of Detroit was an eye opener and not so out of context. I’ve wondered how some urban cities live after big manufacturers pulls out. Like in my pre conceived thoughts about this city, I was not far off in what I had imagined. There was abandoned buildings and neglected structures that feels uneasy when you are there standing out there alone. Not fair to say that it is not safe to be there when you see perfectly maintained houses just a block away.

Visiting on a holiday, (Independence day) was interesting in a way that, in my mind, I thought the downtown was going to be busy, sadly, it was not. Wonder if I would ever visit this place again?
